Hotel Edelweiss has the perfect ski location in the vast SkiWelt ski area offering outstanding skiing for all abilities. 

Itter’s new 10-seater ‘Salvista’ gondola is one of the fastest ways up to the top of the mountain.  The free ski bus stops directly outside the hotel and takes about 3 minutes to reach the ski gondola.

At the Salvista Gondola, you'll find ski hire, shop, ski school with beginners slope, and a restaurant.  There's also a large free car park.

The cross country loop is directly outside the hotel.

Hotel Edelweiss offers everything you need to make your ski holiday run smoothly:

• lift passes are available from reception to save queuing at the lift station
• ski hire is available nearby with free shuttle
• Munich, Salzburg and Innsbruck airports are all less than 1.5 hours away
• airport transfer service can be arranged

Non-skiing

If you simply want to enjoy walking in the snowy mountains or taking a break to explore the local area, we can help you choose the best things to do and the best places to go.

The SkiWelt offers a network of over 300km of winter walking trails and the village of Itter alone has 20km of beautiful paths prepared for winter walkers. The area’s 11 gondolas accept foot passengers at a much reduced price and provide easy access to the top of the mountain, where you can sit in the sunshine and watch the skiers, and meet up with friends for lunch at the mountain restaurants.

Other daytime activities include tobogganing, curling, paragliding, horse sleigh rides, swimming, ice skating, and much more. Just ask for details.

Itter is also ideally situated for exploring the Tirol by car, bus or train. The picturesque villages of Söll, Hopfgarten, Ellmau and Westendorf are very close by, and the larger towns of Wörgl and Kufstein, excellent for shopping, are just 10-15 minutes away. Kitzbühel is approximately 25 minutes from Itter and the Tirol’s capital city, Innsbruck with its famous golden roof and Olympic ski jump, is under an hour.  Day trips to Salzburg and Munich are also possible, with their many attractions for tourists at all times of the year.

Itter

The pretty village of Itter lies on a plateau at 700m and enjoys panoramic views of the surrounding mountains.  

The village has many farms and small guesthouses, as well as a castle, a church, a tourist office, a bakery/café, a bank, a ski lift, a ski school with nursery slope and a ski shop.
